SUBLIME “The masters of Art are asking YOU to BE THEM!” This project concerns looking at and making Art through its history and artists. In this project, discussions and observations range from the first recorded art which are the Lascaux Cave Paintings, to the rebirth of Art in the 15th century, and all the way through to the 20th century. This project tests the skills students have and want to learn. "sUBliME" is designed for students to take what they know and what they want to know and applying these skills to make a successful art piece inspired by an artist of their choosing, in which students are responsible for providing their own materials to make this work in Art class. Students may request an additional artist upon approval.
David Tinoco R.I.P. Shark 32” x 18” Design Paper 2016 The Elements of Art in my art piece shapes, and color. I can tell because every piece of artwork I put into my final piece has a different set of colors or the same set of colors but a different order. A Principle of Design in my artwork is movement. On some of the art pieces I made it specifically look like it was moving in one way. When I finally put my autograph on my art piece I felt like a vanguard of TINMAN. Doing this project gave me a lot of liberty and a lot of open work time to reflect of my day and what I have done. John Robertson was the artist that inspired me to make this artwork. His work inspired me to create these stencils and stack them ontop of eachother.
